Following some great reviews the new album ‘Selected Demos 2002-2009’ is finally out and you can download it from this very site completely free. Also as an added bonus for every full download of the album that occurs, I personally, am going to donate ten whole English pence to the wonderful Mashi Foundation.

The music is nice and sweet, the vocals are nice and sweet but the lyrics are filled with disappointment and bitterness and I love it. Halfway between Eels and Randy Newman, Adrian Killens takes the soft music style and layers it with an uncharacteristic anger that creates a juxtaposition of style and content to create a collection of songs that are endearing, funny and thought provoking.

"SELECTED DEMOS 2002-2009 is something of a revelation. ‘Prettyish’ opens the collection with a nicely strummed intro that winds its way through the whole song. Vocally, Aidy has a young, rather sweet voice. The song is strongly melodically and lyrically, while production is surprisingly good. A dark and reflective start to the album. ‘22′ is an altogether rockier affair with blanket electronic guitar riffs dominating with Aidy’s voice just managing to show through the dirty haze.
